Adult Forum: On break for the summer. Resumes September 17.
Simply Giving: Many of our members and friends give by Simply Giving automated debit. This program has no fees for you or our congregation. This program is very important for our congregation. It keeps income steady during the summer months when giving drops because of people being out of town. Please consider it! If you do participate in Simply Giving, when you worship please grab a Giving Acknowledgment Card from an usher in order to physically fulfill the act of giving during the offertory. There are forms on the table in the narthex.
Giving Acknowledgment Cards: If you participate in the Simply Giving program or if you do not have an offering on a particular Sunday you can still participate in the act of giving during the service. Ask an usher for a small laminated Giving Acknowledgment Card before you enter the sanctuary. You can then place the card in the offering plate to acknowledge your support of our ministries at Peace.
Prayer Requests: We pray for those who need healing and wholeness: for Annette Dick, Amy Falco, Justin Morgenthaler; Kathy Zak, Kristen Jorgensen, and Gina Redina. Our practice is we will pray for an individual for at least 4 Sundays or until the end of the following month. After that time, we ask that you contact the office or Pastor Mark to keep your loved one on the prayer list. If your loved one inadvertently falls off the prayer list, please request to put this person back on the list. Thank you.) We need pray-ers! If you would like to be a participant in the Circle of Prayer, please contact Terry Koncel.
Inspirational Messages: Pastor Mark would like to reach out to the congregation with a brief message a couple times per week. If you want to receive these, please fill out the form in the red attendance folders. Messages will be sent via a text, Facebook account, and Twitter. Any questions, contact Beth Papke at (847) 438-5294 or at email@example.com.
Altar Flowers: If you have a special date you would like to remember, please consider bringing flowers for our Sunday services. The calendar is on the bulletin board outside of the office. Vases are available for use in the kitchen cabinet behind the door. Flowers should be set out before the Sunday service and can be picked up any time after the Sunday service. The kits are all put together and in a bin in the hallway by the office. Take as many kits and instructions as you like. Just mark your name and the number of kits that you take on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board above the bin and mark it off when you return them finished to the bin. They do not need to be completed until December as they will be used at our next Mission Projects Day in February 2018. IF you can sew a straight line you can make this easy project! Please call Sue Koenig with any questions.

Thank You From the Maker Fun Factory Vacation Bible School "Team"
A BIG THANKS to everyone who helped to make last weeks VBS such a success! Starting with the building/decorating volunteers from Peace who helped make the scenes together with members of 3 other churches, All the people who helped transport the scenes in their cars and everyone who transformed our church into a wonderful Fun Factory theme ( in every room !) We had 51 children ages 3 years ‑5th grade (many of which were guests and friends of our members) 23 crew leaders 6th grade‑college, who lead small groups of children to their activities.13 station leaders who were in charge of special areas ( songs, games, bible stories, snacks etc) Wow, everyday over 87 people all together for the glory of God !
We even had a special field trips over to our friends at Silverado. They provided fun games for all our kids ‑ many of their residents help run the games :) All of us sang some VBS songs to provide some entertainment ‑ some residents even joined us in song and dance! Many families donated money to help us donate to the Bees globally through ELCA and locally through CLC bee Apiary!
And when the week was done a extra special thanks to those who stayed and helped with the clean up that got the church ready, inside and
out, for Sunday Service. The dedication and enthusiasm from everyone sure made it a wonderful week. It truly was a "Team" effort. Every bit
of help was noticed and much appreciated. Thanks again :)
