Dear Friends in Christ
Join us this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to be nurtured in faith by hearing the Word and sharing in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This Sunday we hear Jesus’ pronouncements about what is clean and unclean. You might be surprised by what Jesus says! Come and learn. We will be doing a backpack blessing for all school aged students this Sunday. Remember 2-service schedule and SundaySchool resume September 10. Adult Forum: on break for the summer, starts up again on September 17. Please read Romans chapter 11 and the sidebar notes for this chapter in your Lutheran Study Bible (LSB.) In this chapter the Apostle Paul speaks to the divided church in Rome, explaining how Gentiles and Jews together make up God’s justified people because of Jesus Christ – and what he did for humankind on the cross. If you don’t yet have a LSB, see Pastor Mark.
