Almighty God, your Son came into the world to free us all from sin and death. Breathe upon us the power of your Spirit, that we may be raised to new life in Christ and serve you in righteousness all our days, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Video:  FIRST READING:  Ezekiel 37:1-14

Video: Read along responsively:  Psalm 130

1Out of the depths
            I cry to you, O LORD;
2O LORD, hear my voice!
            Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
3If you were to keep watch over sins,
            O LORD, who could stand?
4Yet with you is forgiveness,
            in order that you may be feared.
5I wait for you, O LORD; my soul waits;
            in your word is my hope.
6My soul waits for the Lord
more than those who keep watch for the morning,
            more than those who keep watch for the morning.
7O Israel, wait for the LORD, for with the LORD there is steadfast love;
            with the LORD there is plenteous redemption.
8For the LORD shall redeem Israel
            from all their sins.

Video – Children’s message

Video – Gospel reading and Sermon:  John 11:1-45 Deacon Tracy and Pastor Dale

Video & Sing along – Hymn of the Day: “The Word of God is Source and Seed”  (Red book #506)

The Word of God is source and seed; it comes to die and sprout and grow.  So make your dark earth welcome warm; root deep the grain God bent to sow.

Refrain: Gaudeamus Domino, gaudeamos Domino, gaudeamos Domino! (In the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice!)

The Word of God is breath and life; it comes to heal an wake and save.  So let the Spirit touch and mend and rouse your dry bones from their grave.

Refrain: Gaudeamus Domino, gaudeamos Domino, gaudeamos Domino! (In the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice!)

The Word of God is flesh and grace, who comes to sing, to laugh and cry.  So dare to be as Jesus was, who came to live and love and die.

Refrain: Gaudeamus Domino, gaudeamos Domino, gaudeamos Domino! (In the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice, in the Lord let us rejoice!)

LET US KNOW...

1.     Did you engage with these at-home worship resources?  If so, how? with whom? when?
2.     What did you appreciate? We'd love to hear back.
3.     What suggestions do you have - we are all on a new learning curve these days!
4.     What prayer would you add -- for yourself,... for your church,... for the world?

Please send your response to:
office@peacelutheranlz.com
or
pastor@peacelutheranlz.com

Next Sunday (April 5) is Palm Sunday – a Sunday with two names:  “Sunday of the Passion” and “Palm Sunday”.  The two names reflect the two scriptures that focus our worship on this entry into Holy Week.  Please read of the triumphal entry of Christ into Jerusalem in Matthew 21:1-11, and a section of the passion (suffering) of Christ in Matthew 27:1-54.  The contrast of these two moments within the last days of Christ’s life is striking.  The Word is powerful to transform the trials we suffer on our journey with Christ toward Easter.

Please let us know how YOU are doing – or if you, your neighbor, or someone you know has any need!
Pastor Dale Ziemer: pastor@peacelutheranlz.com
Office: office@peacelutheranlz.com
Deacon Tracy Katschke: tracy@peacelutheranlz.com

We are saving lives by offering our worship to God in this format.   The only tool we all have right now to SLOW the spread of the coronavirus is distance – social distance.  For this reason, our church building is closed.  Pastor Dale, Tracy and Allison are all working out of our homes. We are following protocols that follow state and local guidelines.
