EMMAUS HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER
The service will be available on YouTube at 5:00 p.m. Dinner follows the service.
Emmaus style evening prayer takes its name from a story found in Luke 24:13-35. It is intended to be followed by a meal around the dinner table. Consider making your table special by adding a table cloth, using your most festive dinnerware, and/or lighting a candle. Also consider sharing this meal with someone over the phone, especially if you live alone. Watch your email on Sunday afternoon for the link to the YouTube video, or find it online at www.peacelutheranlz.com.
MIDWEEK LENTEN HEALING SERVICES
Midweek healing services will be made available on YouTube every Wednesday between Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday. All are welcome to participate whether in a single or multi-person household, with or without olive oil. The pastor writing this announcement used unblessed olive oil fresh from the store for baptisms and anointing for years. Blessing the oil is beneficial, but not because it magically makes the oil better or more effective. It is beneficial, because it gives expression to the unity of the church and connects the oil in a meaningful way with God’s purpose and promise to us in baptism.

Our Region 9 continues to improve with both the number of positive tests and the number of people being hospitalized declining. We also are seeing the number of people in our region being vaccinated continue to increase.
With that in mind, we will continue to add to the number of families we can host during the next in-person service on March 7th. We can host up to 10 families during the service. If you are interested, please call Allison in the Church office on Tuesday, March 2nd, between 9:00am to 1:00pm or Thursday, March 4th, between 9:00am to 11:00am to make your reservation.
Once you are registered, you will be sent an email with the protocols to follow on Sunday, March 7th.
The families that have come do enjoy seeing other members again during worship.
