EMMAUS HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER
The service will be available on YouTube at 5:00 p.m. Dinner follows the service. Emmaus style evening prayer takes its name from a story found in Luke 24:13-35. It is intended to be followed by a meal around the dinner table. Consider making your table special by adding a table cloth, using your most festive dinnerware, and/or lighting a candle. Also consider sharing this meal with someone over the phone, especially if you live alone. Watch your email on Sunday afternoon for the link to the YouTube video, or find it online at www.peacelutheranlz.com. MIDWEEK LENTEN HEALING SERVICES Midweek healing services will be made available on YouTube every Wednesday between Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday. All are welcome to participate whether in a single or multi-person household, with or without olive oil. The pastor writing this announcement used unblessed olive oil fresh from the store for baptisms and anointing for years. Blessing the oil is beneficial, but not because it magically makes the oil better or more effective. It is beneficial, because it gives expression to the unity of the church and connects the oil in a meaningful way with God’s purpose and promise to us in baptism. RESERVED SEATING FOR 7-8 HOUSEHOLDS ON 3/7 Call Allison between Tuesday, 2/23 and Thursday, 2/25 or Tuesday 3/2 and Thursday 3/4 to make your reservation for our next service with an in-person component. Reservations close by 11:00 a.m. on the 3/4. Reservations must be confirmed by Allison to guarantee seating. Registrants will receive a list of mitigations and procedures prior to the service.
