Now is the Time to Worship
VIDEO: Welcome and Introduction to the Day
VIDEO and JOIN IN: CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS All may make the sign of the cross, the sign that is marked at baptism, as the presiding minister begins.
Blessed be the holy Trinity, + one God, whose steadfast love is everlasting, whose faithfulness endures from generation to generation. Amen. Trusting in the mercy of God, let us confess our sin. (Silence is kept for reflection).
Reconciling God, we confess that we do not trust your abundance, and we deny your presence in our lives. We place our hope in ourselves and rely on our own efforts. We fail to believe that you provide enough for all. We abuse your good creation for our own benefit. We fear difference and do not welcome others as you have welcomed us. We sin in thought, word, and deed. By your grace, forgive us; through your love, renew us; and in your Spirit, lead us; so that we may live and serve you in newness of life. Amen.
Beloved of God, by the radical abundance of divine mercy we have peace with God through + Christ Jesus, through whom we have obtained grace upon grace. Our sins are forgiven. Let us live now in hope. For hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Amen.
VIDEO AND SAY (Prayer of the day):
Beloved and sovereign God, through the death and resurrection of your Son you bring us into your kingdom of justice and mercy. By your Spirit, give us your wisdom, that we may treasure the life that comes from Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen

VIDEO: First Reading: 1 Kings 3:5-12
VIDEO AND READ ALONG RESPONSIVELY: Psalm 119:129-136
129Your decrees are wonderful;
therefore I obey them with all my heart.
130When your word is opened it gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
131I open my mouth and pant
because I long for your commandments.
132Turn to me and be gracious to me,
as you always do to those who love your name.
133Order my footsteps in your word;
let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134Rescue me from those who oppress me,
and I will keep your commandments.
135Let your face shine upon your servant
and teach me your statutes.
136My eyes shed streams of tears,
because people do not keep your teaching.

VIDEO & SING ALONG – Hymn of the Day: “Be Thou My Vision” (Verses 1,2,4)
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that thou art: Thou my best thought both by day and by night, waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.
Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word; I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.Thou my soul’s shelter, Thou my high tower: Raise Thou me heavenward, O power of my power.
Light of my soul, after victory won, May I reach Heaven’s joys, O Heaven’s sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my vision, O ruler of all.
VIDEO & JOIN IN: APOSTLES' CREED
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father. and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

VIDEO AND JOIN IN: OFFERING PRAYER
God of goodness and growth, all creation is yours, and your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens. Nourish us through these, your many gifts , that we might proclaim your steadfast love in our communities and in the world, through Jesus Christ, our strength and our song. Amen.
Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. God, the creator, + Jesus, the Christ, and the Holy Spirit, the comforter, bless you and keep you in eternal love. Amen.
VIDEO AND SING ALONG: “God of Grace and God of Glory” (Verses 1,3,4)
God of grace and God of glory, on your people pour your power; crown your ancient church's story, bring its bud to glorious flower. Grant us wisdom, grant us courage for the facing of this hour, for the facing of this hour.
Cure your children's warring madness; bend our pride to your control; shame our wanton, selfish gladness, rich in things and poor in soul. Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, lest we miss your kingdom's goal, lest we miss your kingdom's goal.
Save us from weak resignation to the evils we deplore; let the gift of your salvation be our glory evermore. Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, serving you whom we adore, serving you whom we adore.
Go in peace. Christ is with you.
Thanks be to God.
So much gratitude for everyone who has contributed to our worship today and in recent weeks. The young and old, readers and musicians, and the technical help from a growing circle of Peace people is making this possible.
